The Chevrolet Bel Air was a full size car built by GM Chevrolet from 1950-81. In the beginning only the 2-door hardtops were named Bel Air from 1950-52, as distinct from the Styleline and Fleetline models. In 1953, the Bel Air name was changed to a premium level of trim applied across a number of body styles. The engines ranged from a 215.5 cubic inch Thriftmaster 16 to the 235.5 cubic inch Blue Flame 16 V8. The Chevrolet Bel Air is an American classic!
