Original photography done for Boyd Coddington of his hot rod creations from 1999-2008. For the first time, and in collaboration with his Boyd's son Chris Coddington of Hot Rods By Boyd, we are selling official merchandise derived from nine years of documenting Boyd's custom hot rods. Many of the cars we feature in this shop were highlighted on TLC's American Hot Rod TV series, filmed at his car and wheel shop in La Habra, California from 2004-2008. We are honored to be the official partners of Chris Coddington to commemorate Boyd and his unique automotive visions.
With this car, Boyd sought to improve the 1959 Chevy Impala Bel-air sedan. The car turned out to be a two-seat roadster hot rod by removing the top. This image was taken at Boyd's Garage and hung for many years on Boyd's office wall as one of his favorite images.
